Thinking about buying a home in the Portland or Vancouver areas but not quite sure where to start?

Join us on Wednesday, September 9th for our next Pizza, Beer & Home Buying Class, a free and casual home buyer class designed to take some of the mystery out of buying a home.

We’ll have pizza, beer, wine and non-alcoholic drinks while we walk through the home buying process from beginning to end and answer questions along the way.

There’s no sales pitch and no expectation that you’re ready to buy right now. The goal is simply to give you good information so that when you are ready, you understand your options and can make better decisions.

Buying a home involves a lot more than finding a house you like and writing an offer. During the class, we’ll talk about:

Is This Just for First-Time Home Buyers?

Not at all.

We designed the class with first-time home buyers in mind, so we won’t assume you already understand real estate or mortgage terminology. But the information can also be helpful if you have purchased a home before and it has been a while, you are relocating to Oregon or Washington, or you simply want a better understanding of today's market before making a move.

And you do not need to be planning to buy immediately.

Whether you hope to purchase a home in the next few months or you are simply trying to figure out whether buying a home makes sense for you, you are welcome.

Real Estate and Mortgage Advice in the Same Room

One of the advantages of the class is that we can look at buying a home from both sides of the transaction.

The Brandon King Real Estate Group will walk through the real estate side of buying a home, while Michael Leland with Mortgage Trust will be there to help explain financing, pre-approval, down payments and mortgage options.

That means you can ask both real estate and mortgage questions and get a better understanding of how the pieces fit together.

You’re still welcome.

This is an educational home buying class. If you already have a relationship with another real estate agent, we will absolutely respect it. Come eat some pizza, learn about the process and ask questions.

You are also welcome to bring your spouse, partner, family member, friend or anyone else who will be involved in your home buying decision.
